I got CarlinKit 5.0 - 2Air (CPC200-2air) which looks like this

lsusb says it’s Bus 001 Device 009: ID 05ac:12a8 Apple, Inc. iPhone 5/5C/5S/6/SE so I altered rules.d accordingly.

I’m getting CONNECT IPHONE TO BEGIN CARPLAY message with these logs

Looks like this unit is not supported either. Can you confirm this?

Yeah as per the other thread, these devices are designed to turn a headunit that already supports carplay into wireless instead of wired, so doesn’t work with this app!

Thanks good to know.
I also found a way to determine whether device is supported or not - description must mention that it’s only for android car system and suggest to download proprietary app which this project is an alternative for
