Hi All,
There has now been a couple of the USB versions being used and the board itself seems to be doing well!
With that in mind I have a few more that I am happy to sell of course under the pretense that it’s still really a beta product!
Some info one what’s been testing, what’s had issues etc
- usb communication - working well with the nodejs drivers, two way communication, storing configuration with in the eeprom.
- usb soundcard - also working well on Linux and Mac, no windows support however potentially I can do a firmware specific for windows. Mobile based platforms are a bit different, iOS it is working well, android is hit and miss depending on the device. Samsung phone is tested and all good, certain one plus devices seem to be having issues. Android head units are a similar story, a cheap Chinese model I purchased it works well on (using better audio switch to force usb output) but a higher end one that’s been tested had issues. I don’t think this is a fault if the board, I think it’s more manufacturer issues on the android side. If a cheap usb UAC2 dac works, then so should a PiMost.
- firmware updates via most explorer
- standalone mode tested on Jaguar XF, Freelander 2, BMW E90, and also Volvo.
- python driver in the works.
If anyone’s interested send me a message and I can send a link to the shop page, the page is not public yet, just to make sure people don’t purchase one thinking it’s not in a beta stage. Price will be £95 plus £18 shipping to non uk countries (plus any import tax!) this is cheaper than the final price which is looking to be around £125.
Shipping will be about a week from order in the worst case due to printing cases etc.
